Eng.Joseph N.NKadayo,MBS (Chairman)

Eng. Joseph Nkadayo has a Master’s Degree (Highway Engineering) from University of Birmingham, United Kingdom; Bachelor of Science Degree (Civil Engineering) from University of Nairobi, Kenya; Registered/Licensed Consulting Engineer (Engineers Board of Kenya) and a Member of Institution Engineers of Kenya.
Eng. Nkadayo has over 30 years’ experience in Public and Private sector in development, design, procurement, implementation, maintenance and management of projects; staff recruitment, placement, training, performance based- contracting and job evaluation.

Employed and worked as Director General / Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) from 1st December 2008 to 30th November 2014 charged with the responsibility of development, rehabilitation, maintenance and management of all roads in Cities and Municipalities in Kenya. He also served as Secretary to the Board of Directors.

KURA being a new organization, he steered the development of all manuals and policies for finance, procurement and human resource including the establishment of the country’s regional offices and he was awarded the Moran of The Order of the Burning Spear (MBS) in recognition of his distinguished services to the Nation.

He has extensive knowledge and experience in donor funding and procurement procedures of various multilateral and bilateral agencies including the World Bank, African Development Bank (AfDB), European Union, Japanese International Co-operation Agency (JICA), among others.

Represented the Kenya Government in regional bodies, which included; East African Community,       New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD), Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), among others.

He was the Registrar of Engineers Registration Board of Kenya for Seven years (1994-2001) charged with the responsibility of registration of Engineers, management of all personnel matters, programmes and functions of the Board.
