The Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection (CAEP) Working Group 4 today begun a 4-day meeting in Nairobi, facilitated by ICAO and KCAA, to discuss technical issues relating to the Carbon Offset and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA). The session was aimed at providing updates on the CORSIA CO2 Estimation Reporting Tool (CERT2024) and input towards review of the draft 2024 CO2 Estimation Models (CEMs) and illustrating Kenya’s commitment to global progress towards improving sustainability in civil aviation practice.
