Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) is established under the Civil Aviation Act, 2013 (as amended) and mandated to, among other functions, to regulate the aviation industry in Kenya. As obliged by the provisions of the Convention on International Civil Aviation, the Authority in regulation of the aviation industry has developed specific operating regulations, issued a subsidiary legislation, which incorporate Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) issued for global uniformity and regularity in air navigation.
In compliance with the provision of the Statutory Instruments Act, 2013, and after comprehensive stakeholder engagement conducted on the draft Civil Aviation Regulations, KCAA has published on its website (www.kcaa.or.ke) the final draft regulations. In completion of the stakeholder engagement process, the Authority invites stakeholders to review these final drafts for validation purposes.
Matrices depicting the extent of incorporation of stakeholder comments have also been published along side the draft regulations for ease of perusal.
Stakeholders are requested to review the draft regulations and be informed of the changes in regulations including the considerations or otherwise of their input. The draft regulations shall remain available on the KCAA website for at least fourteen (14) days from the date of this notice. A stakeholder validation engagement will be called after expiry of the fourteen days.
